• Ability to tolerate some subgrade and/or granular base deflection while still maintaining pavement continuity and structural integrity.

• High compressive strength (55 MPa/8500 psi as required by ASTM Specification C-936-82) provides excellent surface durability.

• Low water absorption rate (5% average as required by ASTM Specification C-936-82) helps to reduce potential damage caused by fuel and oil leakage, salt scaling and freeze-thaw cycles.

• Stand up better to heavy loads and winter than concrete slabs or stamp concrete slabs do. Pavers move and flex but concrete slabs will crack.

Pavers have survived in Europe for hundreds of years because unlike poured concrete and asphalt, there is no need to replace them. They can be removed and simply put back.
